Naked Energy Review – Does it Actually Work?
Read our in-depth Naked Energy review to find out if it’s worth your money
Introducing Naked Energy
Marketed as a completely natural pre-workout, we were immediately motivated to perform a Naked Energy review. We’ve seen some very positive testimonials online and we were excited to see how it holds up under SpotMeGirl.com scrutiny.
In terms of design, the people behind Naked Energy have gone for a stripped-back, bare look. They’ve used simple branding, and plain artwork, which immediately says they’ve gone for a straight-forward, no frills approach to the whole product.

It might look clean cut and legitimate; however, we need to know if the supplement facts live up to this simple, yet-effective pared back approach.
The people behind Naked Energy have clearly created the supplement with one thing in mind: to design an entirely natural, clean pre-workout.
As we perform a review, we’ll also keep the needs of women in mind. We’re more susceptible to side effects when it comes to caffeine than men, so we’re on the look out for a supplement with a reasonable, yet effective dose of the stimulant. A product that provides this is better suited to the female physiology.
This approach is refreshing in this area of supplementation, as so many poorly dosed products overfill their formulas with caffeine and add proprietary blends in order to make a quick buck.
Although this responsible attitude is exactly what we want to see, it’s one thing saying it and another creating a pre-workout that ticks all those boxes, and really works. To find out if it really can deliver, we began a review.
Our initial impression of Naked Energy was a good one. The supplement label reflects their claims of providing an entirely natural formula. We could see immediately that they’ve attempted to create an intelligent pre-workout that does more than just boost energy levels, or over-use caffeine.
However, to really ascertain its effectiveness, safety and value, we need to take a closer look at whether these ingredients are proven to work and how they do what they promise.
We’ll also explore the dosages of each element to assess whether it can deliver results, and most importantly, whether or not it’s safe.
After we’ve reviewed the ingredients in Naked Energy, we turn to real life pre-workout users and review testimonials. By using a larger resource of people, we can look into the good and the bad and really dig in to how effective and well received it is as a product.
From there, we establish value, so you can find out if Naked Energy is worth your money. To do this, we compare our findings to the price of the supplement. This gives you a good idea of whether you should be spending your cash on this product, or if you should look for something else.
We’ve shared everything we found about this supplement right here, so you can find out if it’s the right pre-workout for you. Read our Naked Energy review today.

What are the benefits of taking Naked Energy?
In recent years, pre-workout supplementation has taken huge steps away from over-dosing caffeine and moved closer towards providing comprehensive products that deliver a bigger workout. We’re pleased to find that Naked Energy is a well-researched, intelligent pre-workout that provides a range of benefits that work toward one thing – giving you a better gym session.
Take a look at these benefits to understand what you can expect from Naked Energy.
Boosts energy
Within Naked Energy, there is 200mg of caffeine per portion. This provides a physical and mental energy boost that will give your performance a powerful edge.
Improves power output
Along with improved energy, you’ll feel more powerful during your workout. The presence of creatine in the formula will give your muscles everything they need to add an extra rep to your session.
Increases endurance
By inducing muscle pumps, your body has improved endurance, so you can work out for longer without feeling tired. By doing this, you should be able to increase the length of your sessions or add extra reps to your set.
Delays fatigue
Ingredients within this mix are added to help keep the feelings of fatigue at bay for longer. This means you can work harder for longer, without resting or tapping out early. This translates as more reward and muscle gain.
Unlikely to give you side effects
Unlike so many pre-workouts, this one has been created with a reasonable amount of caffeine in the mix. As it takes a more cautious approach, you should be less likely to experience stimulant-related side effects, unless you’re particularly sensitive. On top of that, the whole formula is natural, so there won’t be any unexpected adverse symptoms.

Is Naked Energy safe?
When it comes to pre-workouts, it’s very easy to end up buying a product with dangerously high levels of caffeine. As women, we’re more vulnerable to the side effects of too much caffeine, so it’s important we pick a product that takes a responsible approach.
Our Naked Energy review found that the supplement provides a much lower dosage than the majority of options out there. It is lower, than most, but it does still contain quite a generous portion.
We found it to be verging on just a little too much caffeine, however you should still be safe with 200mg as long as you follow instructions carefully. The manufacturers recommend taking just one scoop initially to test your tolerance.
You should avoid any side effects by carefully monitoring your caffeine intake throughout the rest of the day and drinking plenty of water. This will keep you hydrated and should counteract the diuretic properties of caffeine.
A stimulant can also be unsafe if you are pregnant. We recommend you speak to your physician before you buy a pre-workout supplement.
This supplement is also entirely free from proprietary blends, which means there’s no guesswork involved when it comes to safety. It contains exactly what it says on the tin.
Naked Energy ingredients
At the heart of Naked Energy and its ability to improve your workout is the ingredients. It contains 10 highly researched, completely natural, high-quality ingredients that will all support you in making your workout bigger and better.
Our review of the supplements label found that Naked Energy uses potent ingredients designed to help you support a more powerful workout in a variety of different ways. These are then combined to create an effective complex.
To give you a better idea of how this works, we’ve pulled out the key players and explained their roles.
- Caffeine
There’s no doubt that this is one a key ingredient of most pre-workout supplements. It’s in so many because it’s just that effective.
It’s proven to enhance physical and mental energy [1]. In a workout, it’s shown to increase both strength and endurance during exercise [2]. It’s also been linked to alertness and motivation, helping you to stick with a session, even when it gets really tough.
Our issue with caffeine is not with the ingredient itself, but with the irresponsible dosages used by manufacturers. Luckily, Naked Energy contains a lower 200mg per serving. Although it’s slightly higher than we’d like to see, we’re erring on the side of caution. This should still be a safe dose.
- Creatine
Delivering a big boost to your power is a 1g dose of creatine. Countless studies have proven it plays a key role in increasing power output when regularly supplemented [3].
It’s been shown on so many occasions to improve athletic performance and give users the ability to put more into their workouts. It helps your body use energy in a more efficient way, therefore allowing you to increase the power output of your workouts.
If you can work harder and put out more power in each gym session, that can very quickly translate to increased muscle mass and strength.
- CarnoSyn® Beta-Alanine
This amino acid is another essential element of the formula, which helps to delay fatigue. This highly concentrated version of the ingredient will give you a purer hit of beta-alanine.
Science has shown that it can delay fatigue by keeping lactic acid at bay [4]. Lactic acid is released when you work out and you’ll recognize it as the pain you feel in your muscles as you’re trying to finish a particularly difficult set.
Beta alanine produces carnosine, which is stored in your skeletal muscles and reduces lactic acid build-up in your muscles when you’re exercising. By providing a buffer against lactic acid, it delays your point of fatigue which allows you to work harder for longer.
- AjiPure® L-Arginine
L-Arginine is one of nature’s vasodilators. It converts into nitric oxide within the body, which makes the blood vessels expand. This allows for more blood to pass through your muscles.
The most commonly known benefit of this is the increase of size and definition in your muscles. However, when looking into the science behind it, l-arginine can also provide other, workout boosting benefits. It improves your muscle endurance by keeping your point of fatigue at bay for longer.
While this ingredient is well known and widely used, it’s not the most effective. Studies showed the absorption rate was very low [5], indicating another ingredient may be a more effective way of achieving vasodilation.
- Vitamin B6
We’ve seen B6, along with B12 and B3, most commonly in fat burner supplements, which is why we were surprise to find it in Naked Energy. These vitamins help your body to synthesize energy in a more efficient way by increasing your fat oxidization [6].
While this is a very important supplement that plays a number of roles in maintaining good health, it’s not an obvious choice for a pre-workout. And for good reason. It doesn’t offer much in the way of workout boosting benefits, other than to improve energy synthesis.
Although it’ll help slightly, these vitamins are more commonly used in daily supplements. It doesn’t give you much bang for your buck and we need more powerful ingredients in a pre-workout. We think another vasodilator might be more useful.

How do you take Naked Energy?
For the best results, and the safest experience, we recommend you follow the advice of the manufacturers when it comes to taking Naked Energy. As it contains a stimulant, it’s always best to begin at a lower dose and assess your tolerance from there.
Take two level scoops of Naked Energy and mix into at least 8 fl. oz of water or juice to drink. Aim to take your pre-workout around 15-30 minutes before you begin training.
As this contains a healthy portion of caffeine, we’d also recommend you avoid taking this supplement any later than five hours before going to bed, as it could interfere with your sleep otherwise.
Due to the higher dosage of caffeine in this supplement, we’d recommend beginning with one scoop to assess your tolerance. This is better for women as, if you’re particularly sensitive, it gives you an opportunity to find out what works for you.
However, it’s worth bearing in mind that, if one scoop suits you, you’re essentially halving all the other important ingredients in the mix. This significantly reduces both the effectiveness and the value for money of this pre-workout.
How much is Naked Energy?
One tub of Naked Energy provides 50 two scoop servings.
A single container of Naked Energy costs: $39.99
You can also opt to subscribe to this supplement, which can save you $2 per purchase in the future. However, that’s assuming you need or want it that regularly, and the saving is very small.
The verdict
As a natural pre-workout, Naked Energy is definitely at the upper end of the spectrum in terms of quality and effectiveness. However, there are a few areas where it falls down and we’ve found better options out there.
It takes a comprehensive approach to boosting your workouts by using a number of different ingredients and techniques that are proven to take your session up a notch. It increases energy, boosts endurance and reduces levels of fatigue, all for a bigger workout.
Our only issues with Naked Energy come from the caffeine and their choice of ingredients.
For women, 200mg of caffeine is verging on too much. We’re more sensitive to it than men, making it all the more important to find a responsible dosage. To find an appropriate caffeine dosage, you’d have to reduce the amount you consume. However, that could mean missing out on the effects of the other ingredients. That not only impacts the effectiveness, but the value for money too.
Our concern here is that the B vitamins in the mix aren’t needed or entirely helpful. Instead, we’d rather see another vasodilator within the formula, to complement the l-arginine and really boost endurance and reduce fatigue.
Although Naked Energy is expensive, it also provides quite large number of servings which improves the value for money. However, if the caffeine content is too high for you and you decide to opt for just one scoop per serving, you may have more portions, but the effectiveness of the other ingredients will be compromised.
In essence, you’ll just be paying for a big hit of caffeine.

With that in mind, you might consider opting for an option with lower caffeine, but that takes a similar, rounded approach to pre-workout supplementation.
Overall, we thought Naked Energy was a fantastic natural pre-workout – however it’s just not the best one out there if you’re a woman who’s sensitive to caffeine. However, if you are fine with 200mg, it is a fantastic product, that will help you get results.
