Facts About Chiseled Abs

Here are 10 unknowns but must know facts about developing abs.

1. Learn To Maintain Diet

While it the research says that relying too much on low-fat diet or completely eliminating it can actually make you fat but you shouldn’t take it too easy.

To develop a nice pack of abs, you must eat low-fat diet and the fats must be derived from healthy source like nuts, low-fat cheese, etc.

2. Reducing Alcohol

Drinking alcohol regularly or even twice or thrice a week will store a lot of fat around your tummy. It has way too many calories and the more the calories the fatter you get.

3. Protein After Workout

After you hit the gym, always prefer high protein foods. If you have developed six packs, that doesn’t mean to stay hungry all the time, else it’ll deplete the abdominal muscles. Protein rich foods like egg whites, chicken breast or a scoop of whey protein is good.

4. Hydration

Staying hydrated is the most important thing about developing abs and overall maintaining a nice physique. You should drink at least 2 liters of water daily. Also, during your workout, try to take a sip or two after every exercise.

5. Low-Carb Intake

Carbohydrates are very important to fuel your body and muscles. While eliminating them is not a good practice, however, you should always consider eating low-carb foods so you don’t end up eating too much of them and storing fat instead of burning it.

6. Stay Active

If you are the person who hits the gym but has a sedentary job, you need to spare some extra minutes to keep yourself active. Exercise daily, even if it’s only for 10-15 minutes, think about doing HIIT. On the weekends, engage yourself in sports like swimming or soccer. Developing abs isn’t only about diet and gym. Your overall activeness plays an important role.

7. Core & Abs Exercise

If you want to develop a healthy and bulgy pack of abs, focus more on exercises that directly target your core and abs. Crunches are the best way to do but I would recommend doing the decline crunches. They put more pressure on the abs, thus developing a strong pack.

Even if it’s your cheat day, say NO to junk food. They are one of the ridiculous sources of stubborn and visceral fat and you cannot afford to eat them if you want to develop abs. Instead, order a cheesy pizza, a spicy chicken steak or a burger. Don’t overeat.
